Agate Construction is a Heavy Civil & Marine Construction firm founded in 1981 in Southern New Jersey. As a fully capable heavy civil firm, Agate is engaged primarily, but not exclusively in marine construction. Other specialties include moveable bridges, deep foundations and underwater construction. Agate has completed more than 400 projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States with current and recent projects in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland. Recent significant projects include over $40 million of outfall and rock groin construction in Deal, NJ for the US Army Corps of Engineers; a $20 million marine based, 6 span bridge for Monmouth County in Red Bank, NJ and a $36 million storm drain and pump station project for the NJDOT in Bayhead and Mantoloking, NJ.
